British boxer, Amir Khan has accused his wife Faryal Makhdoom of having a relationship with the reigning world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua after their recent break-up.
The former Light-welterweight World Champion, Khan posted a series of accusations on Twitter.
Khan wrote: “Faryal moved on quick. Always mentioned to me how much she wanted to be with another guy, from all people another boxer.
“Lol moved up in the weight classes lol. Trust me I ain’t the jealous type. No need to send me pictures of the men you’re talking to.
Faryal responded with her own claims against him that included accusations that he has cheated on her in the past, by calling her husband “bad company, [a] bad role model and always around women.”
“Stop accusing other boxers just because your boxing career is finished. Man up Amir.
“After all these years. I’ve always defended a cheat, always stuck around for him, always had his back. And I’m called a gold digger?
Faryal Makhdoom ended the conversations as Khan did not reply to the responses and apologising to her followers claiming that her husband was making the accusations up because “he just needs some attention as boxing hasn’t been going well.”.
After the war of words appeared to end, Joshua took to Twitter to make light of the situation, posting a video of the song ‘It Wasn’t Me’ by Shaggy.
Joshua added, I hope you guys can resolve your situation or this is a hack as we have never even met! #ItWasntMe.”
