Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), organises a 2 days Executive professional registration program Known as Modified executive professional examination (MEPE), for interested candidates at Abuja on 7th – 9th September, 2021. The two day program will be concluded with an evaluation test and Induction on Thursday.
Addressing the press the Deputy Director registration career matters and corporate license, Mr. Joe Onuorah said the purpose of the training was for admitting into the advertising profession those who are already in the practice but are not registered practitioners as required by the law.
He noted that APCON runs the program inorder to eliminate illegal advertising practices and Practitioners.
“Regularising the practices of these individuals becomes a win – win situation for everybody”, Joe stated
He said the response is quite considerable in Abuja especially from the public sector but opportunity is open for both public and private sectors.
On why Media or Corporate Affairs practitioners tend to register with APCON at their retirement period, he said, ‘people tend to open their eyes when situations of their comfort zones turn around for them.‘
He urged younger ones to embrace the opportunity rather than feeling comfortable with their current situation.
“APCON has sent a strong signal to illegal advertisers and those who took the signal seriously do not want to be taken unawares they want to do the right thing as enforcement of the APCON regulation is becoming intense” he concluded.
