Fear in Ibadan as yellow aircraft hovers over communities

Fear has gripped many residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital over a strange helicopter seen in some parts of the ancient city.

According to the news gathered a strange yellow helicopter has been hovering over some parts of Ibadan in the last few days.

Some areas that have witnessed the yellow helicopter are communities within Egbeda, Lagelu, Ibadan North, Ibadan North East, and Ona-Ara local government areas.

The helicopter has reportedly been hovering over the communities in the last few days, raising concerns among thousands of community members.

Some residents who spoke to the news men  called the attention of security agencies, urging them to address the concerns of the people.

The residents added that the aircraft hovering close to the roofs of people’s homes is sending frightening messages to the state.

However, following agitations among residents, an anonymous source from the armed forces urged residents not to be scared.

The source said the federal government may be conducting an aerial geophysical survey, recalling that a circular had been released by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development to that effect.

The source said, “A circular was released by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development months back, notifying the general public that the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (MINDIVER) project, a World Bank-assisted project under the Ministry of Mine and Steel-Development will embark on an Airborne Geophysical Survey Activity in Nineteen (19) states of the federation (covering 112 local Government Ares) to determine accurate mineral location using the modern-day aeromagnetic mechanism.

The states to be covered by the survey includes; Kwara, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, and Ebonyi. Others are Enugu, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Kaduna, Niger, Kogi, Taraba, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Bauchi, and the F.C.T”.
