Onnoghen & Tanko Mohammad Gets 7-working Days To Respond To Petitions Written Against Them

Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen and the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Mohammed (CFR) have both been given by the National Judicial Council seven days to respond to petitions written against them.

 The seven days ultimatum was given today after an emergency meeting which took place in Abuja.

The body referred petition written against Danladi Umar, the Code of Conduct Tribunal chairman, to the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC).  NJC will now reconvene on February 11, 2019 to discuss further actions against the nation’s top two judicial officers.
