It’s been reported by several publications that Princess Eugenie of York was angry that her brother Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stole the show at her wedding by breaking the news if their baby at her weeding.
Rumours have been rife that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their pregnancy to members of the royal family on Friday at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. A source close to the family says most of the family actually knew about the pregnancy before the wedding. But they officially announced it to everyone at the wedding.
The Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, and Eugenie and Jack had all been told the happy news before Eugenie’s big day. And as they hadn’t seen them in person yet, they were only able to congratulate them on the wedding day.
But Radar Online has claimed a source said the announcement angered Eugenie and she made herself absent from her wedding for a while.
The insider claimed: Eugenie disappeared for a while after Harry and Meghan told the Royal Family the news.
Any bride would have had their nose put out of joint by something like that.
This comes as the Daily Star also reports Eugenie was upset by the news saying Eugenie was left “on the brink of tears” due to feeling as though her wedding had been “overshadowed”.
However, another source told the Daily Mirror Eugenie and Jack were “thrilled for them both” when told about Meghan’s pregnancy.
The Mirror stated a royal aide said: Harry and Meghan would never dream of stealing Eugenie and Jack’s thunder.
Everyone is hugely excited about the news.
The whole family are very happy they were all able to congratulate the couple in person before they left for their first major overseas tour.
But, the action of Eugenie’s mother – Sarah, the Duchess of York – immediately after Meghan’s pregnancy was announced to the world on Monday has people doubting the royal aide.
Shortly after Meghan’s pregnancy was made public, Sarah Ferguson began tweeting about her outfit to her daughter’s wedding and also tweeted a series of photos from her daughter’s wedding while gushing about the magical day. People feel this was her way of putting the attention back on her daughter.
