The Nigeria House of Representatives on Thursday voted against ministerial slot for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Indigenous people of FCT had always clamoured for a ministerial slot and state of their own.

However, the story was not the same at the green chamber, as the clause did not get the required two-thirds votes of the members.
Out of 292 members who registered their presence, only 191 voted in favor of the FCT ministerial slot; 91 voted against it while 3 members abstained.
