The Nigeria senate during plenary on Wednesday passed the whistle-blowers protection bill meant to protect any individual making disclosures for public interest and others from reprisals.
The bill was passed by the upper chamber after it was read for the third time.
The whistle-blowers bill was among other anti-corruption bills passed during plenary.
Others are the witness protection bill and the mutual assistance in criminal matters bill.
Senate president, Bukola Saraki shortly after the whistle-blowers protection bill was passed said the lawmakers will remain committed in the fight against corruption.
