Fidelity Bank Plc lauds Air Peace for its exceptional performance over the past decade since the inception of its flight operations. Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Plc, expressed this commendation during a special event held in Lagos over the weekend, organized by the bank to celebrate Air Peace’s milestone achievement of initiating direct flights from Lagos to London.

In her capacity as the host of the event, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe highlighted Air Peace’s commitment to financial discipline and robust corporate governance principles since its establishment. She further noted the airline’s steadfast loyalty to Fidelity Bank, emphasizing the bank’s longstanding partnership with Air Peace since its inception.

Expressing delight, she underscored the significance of having Air Peace as one of the bank’s major clients since its inception, emphasizing the bank’s celebration of the airline’s milestone accomplishment of launching direct flight services to London, alongside its anticipated future developments.

The event, held at the Civic Center in Victoria Island, Lagos, was graced by various bank Managing Directors, stakeholders in the aviation sector, media personalities, and well-wishers from both brands.

During his address at the event, Dr. Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, reflected on the challenging journey that led to the airline’s current status. He expressed profound gratitude to the flying public, aviation stakeholders, media, and the government for their unwavering support since Air Peace’s establishment in 2014.

Dr. Onyema specifically recognized the pivotal role played by Engr. Ben Adeyileka, the former Acting Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), in facilitating the airline’s acquisition of its Airline Operator Certificate (AOC). Furthermore, he lauded Fidelity Bank for its consistent support, affirming the bank’s significant contribution to Air Peace’s success story.

Referring to the partnership with Fidelity Bank as “our journey,” Dr. Onyema expressed his astonishment at witnessing the celebration of one indigenous institution by another. He praised Fidelity Bank for its dedication to supporting genuine businesses, emphasizing its role in alleviating poverty and encouraging other banks to emulate its example.

Dr. Onyema reiterated Air Peace’s founding principle of job creation over profit-making, emphasizing its commitment to empowering Nigerians economically through massive employment opportunities generated by the aviation sector.

He emphasized the airline’s unwavering belief in the Nigerian project, highlighting that supporting Air Peace equates to supporting the growth of the Nigerian economy. Dr. Onyema appealed for the support of all Nigerians on the Lagos-London route, stressing the importance of sustaining the route through collective patronage.

Highlighting the convenience offered by Air Peace’s domestic-to-international flight connections, Dr. Onyema assured seamless travel experiences and reiterated the airline’s commitment to maintaining safety standards. He commended the management and staff of Air Peace for their dedication in realizing the dream of connecting Lagos to London.
